The Trend Report: Part I, Pink

If in doubt, make it pink for spring/summer 2014...

It's time to see your home through rose, cerise, fuchsia, magenta or blush tinted glasses.  

Pink was the stand out colour at London Fashion Week, the feminine shade dominated Burberry, Preen and Temperley.  This sweet pink Temperley outfit is just gorgeous!

Therefore, it is only natural that this trend will transfer in to interior design.  

This sitting room is all out pink, from wall colour to fabrics.  But it still manages to look stylish and calming...not at all bubblegum or Barbie!

Colour Pop: Think Pink With Feminine Hues

The sun is eventually shining after a rather wet Bank Holiday Weekend, and here at Butterfly Lane we are thinking about livening up a neutral colour palette with hints of fruity pinks and dusky tones.  A pop of pink looks amazing against soft greys...

Incorporate a colour splash by adding an accent chair in to your muted room as seen below or go all out with an entire pink theme and add in soft greens to create a romantic feel.

Pale pinks are just so pretty and delicate.  Add wistfully soft flower arrangements in to any room to give it feminine charm.
